Etalina, 2010

Etalina accompanies Zelava, the palm reader, as part of the Gypsy Carnival. She travels with Zelava from town to town, entertaining children and their parents while they wait for Zelava to read their palms.

Etalina was displayed as part of the Treasures of the Gypsy Challenge at the International Quilt Festival in 2010.

Etalina is adapted from the Cold Fire Creations African elephant pattern, and is a 13" tall soft-sculptured, wire-armature, cloth doll, made with cotton, decorated with silk, brocade, hand-beaded with ribbons, head-dress, decorations and trims.

Available for purchase on Etsy.
