Lachesis, the Second Fate of the Moerae, 2007

"Lachesis" is the second of the three Fates from Greek myth. Her task is to measure the thread, spun by her sister, Clotho, of each person's life, which her sister, Atrophus, will cut. In this way, it is Lachesis who defines the fullness and length of our lives. Lachesis and her sisters were my entry for the Stretching Art and Tradition 2007 challenge.

"Lachesis" is a one of a kind, 24" tall soft-sculptured, cloth doll. Her face and hands are painted with acrylic paints.
